EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE – THIS IS A DRILL
This year’s SET scenario takes place during the Democrat National Convention in Milwaukee. Unfortunately, the event is plagued by a HEAT WAVE and SEVERE WEATHER.
Our mission is to pass traffic among ourselves, served agencies, our neighboring counties and our district coordinator.

KEN — We’ll conduct most of our business on the 895 Repeater. Due to severe QRM, we’ve moved to W9DK 146.610, our alternate repeater. I will activate the group and serve as initial net control for 1 round, then pass NCS duties to a willing volunteer so that I can serve in my position as Emergency Coordinator. I’d like to provide relief for the important position of NCS, so it would be nice to have a few volunteers to cover an hour or so each.
We will also be asked to support the event relief effort by providing operators in cooling tents and shelters in Milwaukee. (simulated of course)
Please consult recent emails for SET coordination, your handbook is also a good guide, and this ICS 205 for the event.
As we will be requested to provide operators, please fill out an ICS 213RR which includes how long you can deploy and what equipment you can transport.
